![]() Equally impressive on their own, these synths become truly magical when combined into a single system. Its classic Moog synth voice delivers raw analog sound, deep Moog bass, and soaring synth leads, forming an excellent compliment to DFAM’s rich analog rhythms and percussive patterns. If they had made THAT, they’d be sold out EVERYWHERE with another rush on 4 tier stands.Moog Sound Studio Semi Modular Synthesizer Bundle, Mother 32 and DFAM Moog Sound Studio: A complete analog synthesis studio in a box. Might have had to use the mini DFAM knobs for the mixer but maybe not. Power could easily be housed in the back portion guts of the 60hp Moog case. Maybe a challenge to do it all within 60hp, but I doubt it. ![]() Moog.if you’re listening.this is what you SHOULD have done: another 60hp semimodular that offers power for your 4 tier (biggest tier available.though would have been even slicker if you could also power the Grandmother, which I also have), a 5 or 6 channel mixer that uses the VCA outs (not the dumb 1/4” outs?!!!) with cv panning/levels/effects loop, and built in reverb/delay. ![]() I get that for someone that has one Moog, then it might then tempt them into all 3? Is that the strategy? Even then it’s silly because then they only sell with a two tier stand with a 3 channel mixer/powerhub? Yes, there seems to be little logic unless the logic is indeed “only give them less than what they need so they need to buy MORE”. Overall it frankly seems like a bit of a lost opportunity on Moog’s part. But hopefully they sell it at a nonMoogy price. But the real sting is that I have 4 Moogs, so I’ll STILL be short a adaptor, AND short one mixer channel. Just to be free from some of those annoying adaptors. As the mixer looks to be pretty Spartan.ĭepending on how much they sell it for I may bite. But I feel like this one looks to fall obviously pretty short on anything slick. ![]() I’ve commented on multiple Moog threads about the need for them to create a fourth semimodular that functions as a mixer/effects/powerhub for the rest. Honestly I’m still on the fence about it. I think even if they do.there’ll still be some grumbling. If they didn’t I think there’d be a lot of ticked off M32/DFAM/Subharm owners out there. Saw Moog comment on IG that they’re working on getting the mixer made available on its own. Now Sweetwater has some pictures not on the Moog website that answer questions I had about the mixer the cable organizer, but if the components/cables (especially power) aren't available separately, then why three power pass-throughs? Also, why aren't they on the back? I wish they were on the back. If you have any comments or further questions, please let me know." Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. The mixer, cable organizer, patching game, patch books, and colored patch cables are only available in the Moog Sound Studio and are not sold separately. Thanks.Ī second, less important question - is the cable organizer compatible with 3 and 4 tier racks, or is it integral to the included 2 tier rack?" Is there a manual for the mixer? I couldn't find it on the website. It looks like a great way to patch into my other Eurorack gear. "I have a Subharmonicon and am interested in the Sound Studio w/the Mother and DFAM largely because of the summing mixer. I was curious about the specs/operation of the summing mixer in particular, so I sent the following query to Moog and got this response. Imagine my interest when I saw the announcement for the Sound Studio. I like the idea of having this separate Moog instrument that can play with my other Eurorack gear. So I'm the happy owner of a Subharmonicon and I'd eventually like to add the Mother, DFAM, and potentially whatever other family members get added in the future.
